Door Check Mount
TARAGO / PREVIA / ESTIMA / TCR10
Before starting this repair
If your door is clicking, not staying open, or feels loose, the door check mount may be damaged. This is a common issue on the Toyota Tarago / Previa / Estima TCR10.
In my case, I accidentally bent the arm slightly while installing another part, which caused interference and ended up damaging the window guide.
This guide shows what to look for and
how close the arm can get to surrounding components.
Common signs of a problem:
- Clicking or popping noise when opening the door
- Door not staying open
- Excess movement in the door
- Arm sitting too close to the window guide
It’s important to check this early, as continued use can cause more damage.
This ended up damaging my window guide.
I was able to bend it back fairly easily, but it’s still not perfect.
Do not use the Magna rubber if you are using a Previa arm.
Without it, the door will still open fully.
